Ride with us! Our float rental fee of $3,500 includes everything from a professional, insured driver to lights and decorations. Gather your friends and family to form a krewe, as the fee can be shared among riders. All floats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so act fast! Experience New Roads’ newest Mardi Gras tradition with The Krewe of Chemin Neuf’s annual night parade on Friday, February 5th. This historic celebration will feature lighted floats, local performances, and a festive atmosphere, making this a family friendly parade. Supporting the Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana Hospital Health Services Foundations, the Krewe aims to enhance diabetes education and prevention efforts. Don't miss this exciting addition to Louisiana's second oldest Carnival tradition!
Dania Tolliver
Dania Tolliver is a lifelong resident of Batchelor, Louisiana, and a proud member of the Pointe Coupee Parish community. A graduate of Upper Pointe Coupee High School and Southern University, she dedicated 34 years to nursing at Pointe Coupee General Hospital as an educator, leader, BLS instructor, and emergency preparedness advocate. She also supported local healthcare education and serves on several community boards.
A devoted mother, grandmother, woman of faith, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Dania is known for her compassion and commitment to service. Following a life-changing accident in 2021 that resulted in paralysis, she continues to inspire others through her strength, faith, gratitude, and determination.
Becky Bergeron
Becky Bergeron, a lifelong resident of New Roads, began her career with the Pointe Coupee Council on Aging in 1981 as a bookkeeper. Through her dedication to serving the parish’s seniors, she advanced to Administrative Assistant and became Executive Director in 2001.
A passionate advocate and community leader, Becky’s vision for a new Senior Center/Wellness Center is now becoming a reality. Expected to be completed in February 2027, the center will provide seniors with a welcoming space for activities, exercise, fellowship, and nutritious meals.
After 46 years of service, Becky’s legacy reflects her dedication, perseverance, and genuine love for the seniors and community of Pointe Coupee Parish.
